Job Description
General Definition of Work
Performs work answering phones, transfering phone calls to appropriate staff, greeting guests and clients, assisting visitors with sign in and seating, coordinating maintenance requests and maintenance emergencies, processing outgoing mail, delivering mail to the post office mail box at the end of the day, coordinating check pick-up with vendors, and other work as apparent or assigned.
This position reports to the Executive Assistant to the Executive President.
PAY: $13.59 - $19.03 PER HOUR

- Answers phones and forwads calls to the appropriate party.
- Processes maintenance requests.
- Processes daily outgoing mail.
- Greets clients and visitors.
- Enters maintenance requests received by phone into the Yardi software system and calls maintenance technician for any emergency requests.
- Assists visitors to the building including, UPS, Fedex or USPS mail couriers.
- Assists clients waiting in the lobby.
- Announces client appointment arrivals to Housing Choice Voucher caseworkers.
- Makes copies for maintenance requests or for apartments listed in binder in lobby area.
- Restocks supplies and ensures delivered packages are picked up by staff.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and one (1) to two (2) years of experience in Office Administrative Procedures, Reception, Data Entry, Front Desk, Switchboard Operator, Mail Distribution, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in business administration, Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
Special Qualifications
Valid state identification or driver’s license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
