Description/Job Summary- As a family owned business that has grown to one of the largest independent building supplies in the southeast, we are actively looking for an individual with a building supply background to take on the role as Assistant Manager.
Responsibilities- As the Assistant Manager, you will play an integral role in all three phases of our business: warehouse operations, inside sales, managerial duties. We believe it is imperative for our management to be involved in each phase to become a more effective leader and well-rounded manager. The Assistant Manager duties include customer service, inventory management, inside sales, operations, and continued personal development evolving with industry changes.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Create material takeoff estimates in a timely manner.
- Supervise team members by assigning tasks.
- Develop relationships with customers.
- Train team members to improve skills and productivity.
- Communicate with team members through one-on-one discussions and team meetings to discuss safety, policies, and ensure communication is open between all levels of employees.
Skills/ Qualifications:
- Must have construction or building supply experience
- Must be sales oriented and self motivated.
- Must be willing to relocate regionally for advancement opportunities.
- Must have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree. Business related field preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work in warehouse conditions with the ability to load lumber, building materials and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Must be available to work an average of 48 hours per week.
- Must consent to background check.
- Must have valid driver’s license.

Hours of operation: Monday- Friday 7:30 am-5:30 pm, Sat 7:30 am-1 pm, Closed Sunday. Rotating Weekends.
