Job Description
Tumblesalts Cafe is a neighborhood bistro and bar with 80-100 indoor and outdoor seats serving open 7 days for breakfast. lunch and dinner, in various dining areas. Tumblesalts' Pizza Station indoor dining area and seasonal patio is open for lunch and dinner and serves a house made pizza menu. Tumblesalts' Pizza Station is currently hiring experienced Lead Bartender/Server to work directly with management and oversee the day-to-day activity of the pizza bar and dining area. You must be professional with a positive can-do attitude, sparkling personality, and at least three years bartending experience. Customer service is a priority. Must have experience in all functions of front of house, willing to work inside and outside, walk throughout the shift and use stairs. Must be well groomed, flexible, dependable and willing to work on a team. Please email resumes and references.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages -Serve food items to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on food and drink selections
- Maintain a clean, organized, well stocked bar and dining area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Handle cash and credit card transactions and operate POS
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as needed to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Assist with take-out, banquet, catering events as needed
-Maintain Weekly inventory
-Create weekly liquor and soft drink order
-Receiving and putting away Liquor and soft drink orders weekly, as needed
-Assist with hiring and training team members
-Collaborate with management and others to create food and drink specials and promotions -Collaborate with management and others to create special events
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant or bar setting
- Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink prices
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol
-Must be able to stand for long periods, walk up and down stairs, inside and outside
-Must be able to lift/carry 25 lb
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
