Position Overview: Eastern Peak Restaurant Group is currently seeking dedicated and experienced servers to join our team. As a server, you will play a pivotal role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. We are looking for individuals with excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Responsibilities:
Guest Interaction and Order Taking:
· Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner, creating a positive first impression.
· Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, offering recommendations when appropriate.
· Ensure prompt and efficient order delivery, paying attention to special requests and dietary restrictions.
Menu Knowledge and Recommendations:
· Possess a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials.
· Make informed recommendations to guests, providing information on menu items, pairings, and customization options.
· Collaborate with kitchen staff to accommodate special requests and ensure guest satisfaction.
Customer Service:
· Provide attentive and personalized service throughout the dining experience.
· Address any guest inquiries, concerns, or issues promptly and professionally.
· Anticipate the needs of guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
Collaboration with Kitchen and Bar:
· Work closely with the kitchen and bartenders to coordinate the timing of food and beverage service.
· Communicate any special requests, modifications, or additional orders to the kitchen and bar staff.
· Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Table Maintenance and Cleanliness:
· Set up tables before service, ensuring cleanliness and proper arrangement of tableware.
· Clear tables promptly after guests leave and reset them for the next diners.
· Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors, chairs, and surfaces.
Cash Handling and Reporting:
· Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
· Handle cash responsibly and maintain accurate records of transactions.
· Collaborate with other staff members to ensure accurate reporting of sales and tips.
Compliance and Safety:
· Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
· Ensure compliance with alcohol service guidelines and age verification procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior experience as a server in a high-volume restaurant setting.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and processing payments.
- Knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food and beverage pairings.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
