Job Description
One of USA Today’s Top Ten Value Hotels in the country is looking to hire a new General Manager. Georgetown Inn is a locally-owned, 52-room boutique hotel in the heart of Seattle’s historic and emerging cultural district. We embody the Georgetown neighborhood’s friendly, “small town in a big city” vibe that guests from near and far have come to appreciate. We’re looking for a creative, energetic, motivated GM who works well independently, effectively leads teams, and excels at delivering quality service and building customer loyalty.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance
- Maintain a fun, positive work environment and motivate associates to exceed expectations of guests
- Hire and train qualified associates, manage individual and team performance, provide developmental opportunities, and promote teamwork and cooperation
- Foster a safe environment for employees and guests
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns and new business initiatives
- Oversee building maintenance and renovations, system and tech upgrades
- Manage vendor and contractor relations, ensure property is well-maintained, and inventory is well-stocked
- Track revenue and financial performance to ensure profitability
- Implement rate strategies to maximize hotel occupancy
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained throughout the hotel
- Develop and implement hotel systems, policies, and procedures
- Field guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Execute vision for the hotel brand and develop strategies to reinforce the identity through design, communications, and employee training
- Support and communicate company goals and initiatives, promote programs and act as an ambassador of the hotel among stakeholders including existing and future customer bases, neighborhood groups and other community and business collaborators
Job Requirements:
- Minimum three years of management experience preferably in hospitality
- Strong oral and written communication skills, organization, planning and attention to detail
- Sound problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Creativity, flexibility, and reliability
- Perform hands-on duties and support associates as needed
- Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and move around for an entire shift
- Computer skills including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of Opera or other PMS a plus
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and am/pm/overnight shifts as needed
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Work location on-site

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
