Job Description
Security Systems Service Coordinator
The Security Systems Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the repair of all video surveillance, card access and burglar alarm systems. This will require the service coordinator to regularly communicate technical information between network personnel, security system integrators and various equipment vendors. The coordinator is further responsible for ensuring all systems are programmed in accordance with customer standards.
Requirements
· 2 years experience programming video surveillance, card access and burglar alarm system. Prior experience working with DMP alarm panels is strongly preferred.
· Must possess a working knowledge of security hardware including alarm panels, alarm sensors, camera and video recording equipment as well as the communication networks that support these devices.
· Must possess excellent telephone and communication skills. The Service Coordinator must be able to communicate effectively with individuals possessing varying levels of technical competency.
· Ability to self-start and work without immediate supervision.
· Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a detail oriented environment.
Core Functions
· Program video surveillance, card access and burglar alarm system in accordance with programming standards. Monitor these systems to ensure these standards are maintained.
· Provide programming support to systems technicians, operations staff, and Team Members. This assistance will be provided over the telephone as well as via email and MS Teams, all of which must be monitored throughout the day.
· Troubleshoot equipment problems with video surveillance, card access and burglar alarm systemand coordinate service with the appropriate vendor.
· Coordinate vendor meets amongst facility technicians, ATM manufacturers and security system technicians daily.
· Review service requests for accuracy. Update requests that are inaccurate or missing information and dispatch to the appropriate vendor.
· Notify USSOC manager/supervisor of potential coaching opportunities with staff. Work with USSOC leadership to improve troubleshooting skills and system awareness amongst operations team.
· Monitor service provider performance to ensure compliance with SLAs including established response times and first-time fix rates. Escalate non-compliance to management as needed.
· Monitor critical services requests to ensure vendor is properly completing repairs. Update and re-open calls as needed. Drive solutions and escalate any issues to management.
· Work with operations staff to identify and correct nuisance alarm issues.
· Assist installation coordinator with new system installs as needed.
· Monitor and action video health alerts on a daily basis.
· Additional duties may be assigned or modified according to business requirements.
