The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for all short and long-term scheduling and planning of maintenance activities. The Maintenance Scheduler works closely with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Engineer and Maintenance Technicians to review all work requests and determine objectives of the job, develops detail job plans including labor (type & quantity), budget, materials, tools, and work procedures for repairs, alterations and preventative maintenance for the facility and manufacturing equipment.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops detailed job plans including labor (type & quantity), materials, tools and work procedures for repairs, alterations, and preventative maintenance efforts related to facilities and manufacturing equipment to meet the objects of the work requests.
Setting up & maintaining preventative maintenance work orders established in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) inclucing; job plans, frequency of work, crafts, man-hours, and parts/tools required.
Daily maintenance of the CMMS system (team members, schedule, equipment, tools & exceptions).
Maintain an accurate work order backlog.
Review all new work requests in CMMS for applicability, correctness, and clarity.
Run reports for the Maintenance Manager as needed to maintain accurate Key Performance Indicators.
Work with the Maintenance Manager to achieve compliance of plant defined specifications. Maintain pulse of the various departments within the facility to ensure appropriate work is being performed and customer’s needs are met.
Review previous days work packages to check for follow up work and ensure work orders are processed correctly.
Generate purchase requests for non-stocked parts and tools to support work plans.
Develop storeroom organization surrounding parts kitting, to include shelving, locations, storage kits and markings.
Work with Maintenance Manager to ensure inventory levels are maintained at lowest practical levels while also ensure accessibility to the right parts, at the right price and when the part is needed.
Provide plant support and training with CMMS program.
Generate equipment hierarchies, task/instructions, and performance reports.
Creates and executes Milgard Performance System plans, meets MPS commitments and works within the guidelines of MPS; reflects Milgard’s business values and the MI/Milgard Quality Pillars in all business interactions.
Incorporates Milgard’s vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to the Milgard core values.
Adheres to all facets of safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of previous experience with inventory management and a CMMS system preferred.
General parts, electrical, welding, and mechanical equipment understanding.
Familiar with TPM and other maintenance improvement techniques.
Must be detail oriented and able to communicate clearly with management, personnel and vendors.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
OSHA knowledge beneficial.

Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.

Computer knowledge and ability to learn new computer software programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to move around a manufacturing environment.
Must have the ability to move and lift materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed
Overtime may be required, including weekends.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work performed indoors in a non-climate controlled environment.
