Job Description
Are you looking to get out of customer service and make an impact with no phone work at all? FSC Edge is looking to hire a Data Entry Operator who will operate keyboard-controlled data entry devices to transcribe data into a format suitable for computer processing. Job task requires skill in operating an alphanumeric keyboard, and an understanding of data processing procedures and project computer systems and software.

FSC Edge is standing up a large electronic publication production facility in the Omaha area and is recruiting a significant team to support a new contract with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Our Data Entry Operators use the latest in optical character recognition technology and software combined with workflow management to deliver text accuracy exceeding the USPTO’s stringent requirements. Data Entry Operators are assigned work from a wide range of predominately computer-oriented tasks based directly on their demonstrated proficiencies.
This is an in-office position, and we are looking for motivated individuals interested in growing as part of a team of over 200 people.

Essential Functions:
Under general supervision, enters, transcribes, and verifies a variety of alphanumeric data onto an on-line, batch mode, or personal computer system. Assignments are routine to complex in nature and work parameters are typically well defined. Maintains files, records, and chronologies of entry activities.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
Functional requirements include use of both hands, fingers, and ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent with 1 year of relevant experience
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen and understand information and ideas as presented verbally
Strong organization skills, time management skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated, self-starter that can work proactively with minimal supervision and know when to escalate or seek guidance
Analytical thinker with the ability to work as part of a geographically dispersed team
Proficient computer or gaming skills, use of keyboard, mouse, and other input devices preferred
Other Requirements:
Candidates must pass a limited personal background inquiry pertaining to verification of name, physical description, marital status, present and former residences, education, employment history, criminal record, personal references, medical fitness, fingerprint classification, and other pertinent information for access to client data.
Must report to the Omaha office daily
