Job Description
SUMMARY: Performs duties directly related to the facility operations to ensure safe, sanitary and orderly conditions exist around the facility. Responsible for providing direct oversight and supervision of the resident population during an assigned shift and in accordance with policy/procedure requirements. Responsible for the proper implementation and compliance with company policies, procedures, processes, and standards within the day-to-day performance of assigned duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Directs resident activities and establishes standards and procedures for the completion and quality of work performed by residents.
- Provides direct supervision to the resident population and reports immediately any suspicious activities or violations of policy procedures, rules and/or regulations by residents and/or other individuals.
- Inspects and evaluates physical and sanitary condition of facility and resident living quarters on assigned shift and provides written documentation of such inspection.
- Reports and submits to maintenance work orders for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and all reallocation of space.
- Periodically inventories supplies and equipment as assigned by a supervisor or as required by policy.
- Provides transportation of services to resident population as assigned by a supervisor.
- Enforces security/safety/operational regulations and restrictions relative to facility operations outlining and establishing measures and procedures for granting personnel or visitor’s access to classified material or entry into restricted areas.
- Performs accountability inspections and counts of the resident population to ensure all resident locations and physical presence on the facility.
- Coordinates the checkout of residents during approved times and documents resident departures and arrivals at the facility in accordance with prescribed policy requirements.
- Completes all designated written documentation as delineated by policy or as may be assigned by a supervisor in conformance with policy requirements and in a timely manner prior to the end of duty shift.
- Documents in conformance with policy the checkout of equipment, keys and other items assigned to the monitor station.
- Conducts resident urinalysis in conformance with policy and as instructed by a supervisor.
- Participates with management personnel in revising or updating security measures due to new or revised regulations.
- Facilitates open constructive and cooperative communications between operation staff and other divisions.
- Keeps update lists of all resident assignments to include housing, community service and programs.
- Conducts routine inspections of facility vehicles to ensure proper maintenance is maintained.
- Maintains familiarity with existing and changing techniques, policies and procedures utilized by the facility.
- Inspects and maintains facility fire protection.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by his/her immediate supervisor or higher authority.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Six (6) months related work experience. Strong organizational skills, knowledge of computers to include Microsoft Word, Excel preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
