Job Description
The Specialty Logistics Manager (Remote) will be responsible for the Strategic and tactical management of the outside contractor vendor base, parcel carriers and any work moving through the Labcorp core diagnostics network that is for Oncology and Genetics testing. The role is to provide the most efficient and cost effective solutions available while maintaining the appropriate volume flow into the specialty labs. This Manager will work across Divisions to create synergies where appropriate in the contract courier space. This position will also work with the respective Oncology and Genetics Laboratory Leadership to align with laboratory realignments and new tests coming to market and how the logistics paths may need to change. This People Leader will have 2 direct reports and 7 indirect reports and will be responsible for the hiring, performance management and development of their team. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain Operations.
Pay range: $92,000 - $125,000 annually plus a Company bonus

Education / Qualification(s)
College Degree (Associates, Bachelor preferred)
5- 7 years of Direct Supervisory (People leadership) experience
Logistics/Supply Chain Experience
Good Analytical skills
Proven People Leadership Skills with leading and coaching a team up to 10 people
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven Interpersonal Communication skills
What to Expect
Responsible for the ongoing management of the Logistics network channels that support the Oncology and Genetics laboratories.
Works across Divisions to create synergies where appropriate in the contract courier space
Works with the lab management on specimen flow, any transportation related issues
Owns the business relationship with the Outsides Contract Vendors.
Indirectly manages a call center that supports logistics pickup requests, supply ordering and general Sales inquiries/requests
People Leader of 2 direct reports and responsible for the hiring, performance management and development of their team.
