ONSITE Full Time In OFFICE \*\*\*NO REMOTE\*\*\*
POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Entry Clerk performs a wide variety of clerical duties in support of our international medical providers services across multiple sites and departments. As an integral part of our services team, the position serves in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment in order to meet performance and quality assurance benchmarks. The Data Entry Clerk must exercise flexibility when serving as back-up support for other internal teams according to the needs and in the interest of efficiency in workflow and operations. Essential duties include the sorting of encounters by program, data entry of computerized billing and update information as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish and English. (Required)
- Good organization skills, detail oriented.
- Knowledge of basic medical records principles and practices, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and classification of diagnoses and operations.
- Possess a heightened level of knowledge and understanding of ICD 10-CM and CPT Codes coding principles (Required, but no mandatory).
- Data entry experience necessary (Required).
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency as a Bill Review Analyst with two or more years previous experience in medical bill review.
- Ability to work in a high production environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English. (Required).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to be flexible; problem solver, self-directed; customer service-oriented, and collaborative.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
Job Duties:
- Responsible party needs to be a self-starter and good at managing time effectively.
- Add or update Provider and Claim information as appropriate.
- Utilize Fee Schedules, Online Documents, Client instructions and other training material to proper review medical bills.
- Provide quality review on work as specified by Leads/Supervisors.
- Proactively identify system and/or bill review issues and provide feedback to supervisors or managers.
- Ability to meet productivity daily expectation.
- Other duties as assigned requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
2. Bilingual and illiterate English/Spanish required.
3. Must be highly flexible; able to accommodate changing needs of the department.
4. Must be a self-starter, motivated and have the ability to multi-task.
5. Training and/or experience with computer data entry and ability to type a minimum of45 WPM.
6. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
7. Good working knowledge of computerized data management systems and the ability to quickly develop in proficiency to meet the demands of the position.
8. Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
