Job Description
Job Purpose & Position Overview:
The Office Associate will perform clerical duties as needed for the Whirling Thunder Wellness Program to ensure an efficient operation and assist the Whirling Thunder Wellness Program Director and the other staff as needed in daily management of the office and program. The data entry portion of the position will be responsible for data collection and recording on the SDPI (specific) Database program.
Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Answer phones, greeting public/patients/clients and directing patients/clients for the program located at Twelve Clans Unity Hospital and at the Whirling Thunder Wellness Program.
Assist, as needed, with preparation of purchase orders for invoices/purchases and route, as necessary.
Assist with routing of all Whirling Thunder Wellness Program staff correspondence, mail, memos, and packages located in-house and for Whirling Thunder Wellness Program.
Assists, as needed, for the Whirling Thunder Wellness Program sponsored events that occur during and outside regular work hours.
Type, file, and general clerical assistant to the Whirling Thunder Wellness Program Director to assist in carrying out the Whirling Thunder Program goals and objectives.
Serve as Data Entry clerk for the SDPI Database Program.
Develop a “data collection format” to collect data on Whirling Thunder Program activities that will provide clear and accurate information once an activity I completed.
Enter data directly into the SDPI specific database. This will include data entry as well as being knowledgeable of the daily functions of the Whirling Thunder Wellness Program activities to capture all data and activities.
Assist in generating queries, reports and data analysis from this program based on need.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Maintain a valid driver license and be insurable under the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska insurance program.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience with computers and Microsoft Word and Excel Software. Would prefer knowledge of SDPI Specific Database.
Ability to interact courteously, tactfully, and effectively with the public and other employees.
Knowledge of the operation of standard office machine such as, copier, fax machine, and telephone system.
Ability to work independently and assure responsibility for initiation and completion of assigned tasks with minimal or no supervision.
Must be reliable, punctual, and have good attendance. May be required to work an irregular work schedule as needed.
