Position Description
JOB TITLE: Medical Assistant
REPORTS TO: Clinical operations Manager
STATUS: Non-Exempt
ROLE: The CMA/MA is responsible for the prompt and accurate intake of new and follow up patients in person and virtually. May be required to work at one or more locations in the Twin Cities metro, and to travel between sites as required for smooth workflow and patient demand.
JOB DUTIES:
● Verify patient information for complete accuracy in the chart
● Greet incoming patients promptly and professionally in person and virtually approximately 25 per day within goal time of 10 minutes of front desk arriving
● Create patient charts with 100% accuracy
● Review patient information and make necessary changes, based on patient input
● Scan and upload any patient data or reports/results
● Collect vitals information
● Conduct UA collection process
● All chart notes are current, individualized, and patient-centric
● Communicate with site leads, providers, and resource leads, to ensure that appointments run on time
● Verify Medications have been sent to the appropriate pharmacy following appointment with the patient and prints or hands them the AVS
● Print the AVS and hand off to appropriate team member
● Assist the provider with clinical needs
● Maintain all communication for the provider and serve to assist provider with emails and phone calls (such as medication refills or communications, closing out the morning, and afternoon prior to leaving)
● Maintain a sterile environment in the clinic; perform daily and closing cleaning duties as needed.
● Wipe down all rooms and computers between patients
● Cross train with front desk and provide back up as needed on all front end duties
● Assist with medical records and ROI form completion for your provider then take it to the front desk to scan
● Attend and participate in meetings.
● Assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
● Minimum of two years of medical experience, clinic setting preferred.
● Ability to travel between clinic locations; valid driver’s license, auto insurance.
● Pass MN DHS background study.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
● Working knowledge of billing and charting applications desired.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
