Job Summary
Inputs all purchase orders into the computer system, distributes, maintains, and scans paperwork into the associated sales orders. Responsible for maintaining customer files. Opens, files and maintains mailed purchase orders.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
Accurately inputs all purchase orders into the computer system.
Enters purchase orders into the computer system.
Works with and sends purchase order cases to Customer Care regarding questions about the orders.
Sends 1st Article orders to First Article Tech.
Scans all appropriate paperwork and saves it to the corresponding sales order in the computer system. Paperwork itself is then shredded.
Mail in purchase orders
Collect mail in purchase orders from the Order Entry mailbox in the front office and in Customer Service.
Check the computer system for the status of the order.
Depending on the status of the order, either file in the open mail file or scan it, attach to the corresponding order, then shred.
Make revisions/corrections to orders as needed or forward the issue to the appropriate department for revision/correction.
Updates information for Order Entry Customer books, with alignment from the Customer Care team.
Train new personnel on Order Entry function.
Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
Education/Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read, comprehend and write English on documents such as work orders, safety instructions and dispositions of parts.
Ability to read and comprehend prints/drawings for process requirements and part attributes.
Ability to speak English sufficiently to allow for adequate communications in emergencies and to allow for effective cooperation with teammates.
