Job Description
Job Title: Medical Assistant
Largest ENT Practice in DFW is looking to add to their well established clinical team. We started our practice in 2008 and are proud to say we are the largest ENT practice in DFW with plans to keep on growing. We offer a variety of services from the neck up, but also have a Sinus, Allergy, and Hearing Aid Department.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour days
Work Location: Wichita Falls, TX
Essential Job Responsibilities:
ENT Back Office/Medical Assistant duties include but not limited to:
Patient vitals and intake health history and reason for visit
Assisting the doctor(s) with charting patient exam, assessment and plan
Ordering necessary tests, imaging etc
Managing follow-up care
Communicating with patients regarding their test results, prescriptions or other recommendations
Prepping and assisting in office procedures
Cleaning and sterilization of instruments
Inventory and stocking of medical supplies
Scanning, assigning and progress noting incoming documents and health records
Exam room setup and routing cleaning
Education: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), medical assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in medical assisting preferred.
Experience:
Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
Other Requirements: Current documentation of a national certification preferred. Current CPR certification preferred. Current health records with the appropriate immunizations to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis).
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of health care field and medical office protocols/procedures.
Knowledge of specific assisting tasks related to particular medical practice.
Knowledge of information that must be conveyed to patients and families.
Skills:
Skill in performing medical assistance tasks appropriately.
Skill in tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions.
Skill in understanding patient education needs by effectively sharing information with patients and families.
Abilities:
Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.

Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks.
Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.
Equipment Operated: Standard medical exam/office equipment, which may include computerized health information management system for medical records, etc.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies. Occasional stress from dealing with many staff and patients.
