Job Description
Building Envelope Waterproofing Representative
The Building Envelope Waterproofing Representative (BEWR) is responsible for the sales activity related to Building Envelope Waterproofing & Deck Coatings market (waterproofing, air barriers, deck coatings, others as assigned by the manager) for their assigned territory.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed sales budgets and be accountable to measurable performance.
- Build and maintain relationships in addition to formally educating and motivating our customers to include but not limited to, contractors, building owners, specifiers, and distributors.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other sales representatives in their respective territory who focus on other product lines and markets.
- Have a “can do” attitude and be a team player.
- Communicate clearly and effectively via in-person, telephone, and in writing.
- Be able to promote SOPREMA as a single source building envelope solutions provider.
- Utilize Salesforce to manager day to day business, territory business plans, and to forecast sales.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers.
- Must have an understanding and knowledge of the company goals and growth objectives.
- Know how to get things done through formal and informal channels.
- Works within organizational strategies, structures and processes in flexible and practical ways.
- Stay up-to-date on industry and market trends. Accurate anticipation of future consequences and trends with a broad knowledge and perspective.
- Communicate and liaise with all corporate office departments providing a transfer of market information, market requirements and technical concerns.
- Sets challenging objectives.
- Become a technical resource.
- Can deal with conflict, ambiguity and information in an appropriate and positive manner.
- May require additional functions as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years sales experience in the buildings material industry; preferably with a manufacturer, distributor, or as an independent sales agent.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but will forego with the proper work experience.
- 5 years experience in public speaking
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands:
- Driving long distances (must have a valid drivers license)
- Climbing and descending stairs and ladders
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Visit job sites and being compliant with all safety procedures.
Reports to the National Sales Manager – Building Envelope Waterproofing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
