Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our front office staff. Must have experience working in a dental or medical environment. You will be one of the first people that a patient speaks to and play an important role of establishing the patient’s relationship with the office. A successful front office member helps ensure that our office works efficiently while providing a professional, friendly point of communication for patients and associates. You will be responsible for making sure that the operations of our office run smoothly so that the dental professionals can concentrate on patient care and dental treatment. We need someone with experience speaking to insurance companies and being able to convey this to our patients in common terms. Someone that can multitask and have forward thought of the big picture will do well in this position.
Due to Atlanta traffic, we would like the candidate to be within 15 miles of Brookhaven.
Responsibilities
- Greeting patients as they arrive and answering the phones.
- Scheduling and cancelling patient appointments in person and on the phone.
- Completing and filing insurance forms and dental billing records.
- Translating dental services into proper billable codes.
- Managing office forms.
- Communicating with patients about recommended services
- Office duties including document filing, scanning, and creation
Requirements
· Excellent phone, in-person, and written communication skills, alongside a cheery empathic but firm nature
· Must have experience working with patients and insurance in a medical or dental environment
· Organization, time management and multitasking abilities
· You should have a professional, caring, friendly and confident approach to work, colleagues and patients. It’s important to be understanding and empathetic to our patients' needs.
· Computer literacy in basic applications like email and Microsoft Office.
· High school degree
· Bilingual preferred
· Business to business casual appearance
· Availability to work some Saturdays
