Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Global Account Manager reports to the Global Accounts and Strategy Leader and is responsible for managing workflow and helping to drive strategy across our newly founded in-house consumer content agency (PR, media, creative & social) to deliver effective and efficient brand stories & content for our portfolio of global brands. The role will be the account leader for key brands and initiatives, specifically bringing campaigns to life across 2D design, packaging and shelf back tools and will collaborate with multiple stakeholders from internal clients to in-house resources to external partners/agencies, own scorecard and budget reporting and will consistently bring ‘best-in-class’ practices from industry to grow capability.
Responsibilities
Brand Strategy - Work with brand teams to generate clear, inspiring briefs for the internal team. Review work from the internal team to ensure brand strategy is delivered and initiatives are created that drive sales and incremental growth.
Guide strategy across consumer work (clear target identification), equity work, creative strategy (insight, benefit, proof points), campaign "red threads", comms/PR needs, media planning, measurement POV etc.
This role is predominantly focused on design-heavy projects, so it will pull strategy through consumer facing elements like key visuals, shopper plans, packaging etc. This role will act as point person to integrate with the shopper & central brand teams bring in and deliver against shopper insights and needs.
Pro-actively assess the target consumer landscape, identifying and activating programs that align with passion points relevant to our consumers
Client management - Build and maintain strong relationships with client brands and functions acting as point person on new projects. Lead creation and presentation of client decks showcasing work on behalf of the full in-house team. Ensure strategic goals of client are met, on-time and within budget.
Project Management - Foster communication across the in-house agency, connect dots between work, help influence priorities, define client facing deadlines/schedules, and coordinate asset delivery between the pillars of the agency, specifically with designers in the creative team and retail media. Leverage PPT and suggest optimizations to Monday.com (software systems) to elevate effectiveness and efficiency of total agency team. Execute any monthly reporting appropriate to those systems.
External Agency Management - Manage briefing process and workflow with external agencies and or vendors as needed. Ensure adherence to timings and budgets, assess work against strategic needs of the client and fit to brief.
Budget Management (in-house agency)- Manage in-house agency budget across creative, PR, social and media teams, interfacing with commercial finance and accounts payable as well as the client brand teams to track spending and KPIs.
Insights & Ideas - Inspire and participate in mining and defining insights across categories, brands and regions and coming up with culturally relevant, consumer facing ideas for creative, closure claims, compelling visuals, stunts, media partnerships, social posts, partners etc. He/She/They will jump in and participates across the agency.
Qualifications/Requirements:
4+ years agency account experience
Experience in design/packaging/shopper agency work is a HUGE plus
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising or related
Excellent collaboration skills (eg great “bedside manner”)
Superior organization skills and attention to detail
Creativity and experience in creative development
Drive to succeed and willingness to learn
Be an excellent presenter and written strategic communicator, and value the power of good planning, strong creative and analytics
Experience in defining strategy as well as leading executions
Strong brand building fundamentals
Experience in multiple agency disciplines preferred eg: creative, digital, packaging, in-store, PR, media
Skilled in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Comfortable managing multiple projects and brands at once
Ability to travel (up to 25%)
