Job Description

We’re looking for an entry level Bookkeeper to join our Accounting Team in Ledyard, CT.
Responsibilities:
Reconcile bank statements
Enter data and formulate employee expense reports using cost accounting software
Produce basic accounting reports relating to accounts payable/receivable
Prepare purchase orders and receive inventory
Train as backup for accounts payable
Train as backup for payroll using 3rd party service such as ADP
Act as a backup for Receptionist as needed
Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
Required Qualifications:
High school graduate required; associate degree in accounting/business administration preferred
2 years of accounting experience involving a variety of duties
Understanding of debits, credits, and overall accounting knowledge
Basic computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software
General Office duties including: file management, shipping/receiving and phones
Detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing internal and external customer service
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Openness to help others on the team with new projects and other initiatives as the company grows
