Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with an administrative assistant background or an entry-level accounting background to join our team as an Entry-Level Tax Specialist.
Job Summary: As an Entry-Level Tax Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of seasoned accountants and tax professionals. You will be responsible for performing various accounting and tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and Data Entry: Maintain accurate and organized financial records by entering data into accounting software.
Tax Preparation Assistance: Collaborate with senior tax specialists to gather relevant financial information, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Financial Documentation: Assist in assembling and organizing financial documentation for audits, reviews, and client meetings.
Client Support: Provide excellent customer service to clients by addressing inquiries.
Administrative Support: Assist with general office tasks, including filing, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
Collaboration: Work closely with the accounting team, participating in training sessions, and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree in accounting or related field is a plus
Relevant Experience: Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in an entry-level accounting role is preferred but not required.
Basic Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with basic accounting principles and concepts.
Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and keen attention to detail to ensure error-free financial data entry and documentation.
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and clients professionally and courteously.
Ethical Standards: Uphold strict confidentiality and maintain high ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to learn and adapt to new accounting processes and tax regulations.
