Position Summary
The Product Engineering Sr. Program Manager is responsible for managing the Engineering efforts associated with Neptune products which have already been released and on the market for one year or more. Neptune’s products range from purely mechanical to highly complex radio frequency transmitters and receivers. This role is responsible for coordinating activities for a team of Engineers in both proactive and reactive projects that arise.
Objectives:
- Coordinate and manage the workflow of Neptune’s Product Engineering efforts. Engage with company stakeholders from Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Customer Experience, Marketing, and Engineering to accept requests for investigative work or product improvements, assess their relative priority, and work to speedy resolution. Communicate with Resource Management to align personnel appropriately to complete the work assigned, including Electrical Hardware, Electrical RF Specialists, Mechanical, and Firmware resources.
- Provide technical support to Quality Assurance and Product Marketing regarding product function and performance as required to satisfy demand from the field. Provide technical support to Purchasing regarding vendor selection and retention.
- Coach and mentor engineering resources at varying degrees of experience to help develop their technical skills and soft skills such as communication, peer interactions, and leadership.
- Contribute to the internal culture of extensible product knowledge to drive toward efficient issue resolution and proactive improvement. Assess risks of Neptune’s available product portfolio, and work proactively to resolve potential threats to quality, manufacturing defects, and product cost.
- Provide support in maintaining product certifications such as FM, UL, and NSF, etc. including periodic on-site inspections, document control and retention, and adherence to standards.
- Assist in administration of Product Lifecycle Management system which governs Engineering Change Requests, Part Inspection Requests, Product Quality Plans, and other pertinent product metadata.
- Contribute to the Project Management Office (PMO) in building and developing best practices in alignment with Neptune Management System.

Requirements:
Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer)
This role is located in Tallassee, AL. or Duluth, GA.
