As a Staff Accountant at BBD, you will learn to perform the fundamental procedures for accounting, tax and auditing engagements through on-the-job and formal classroom training. You will benefit from hands-on experience working in a broad range of assignments for our diverse client base detailed above. Due to our firm’s size and structure, you also will benefit and learn from extensive interaction with supervisors, managers and partners of the firm, as well as firm clients. Applicants will be given the opportunity to choose their preference of practice area in either tax or audit.
Auditing
Performance of audit engagements, including performance of audit fieldwork and financial reporting
Communication with client management teams
Research of accounting and audit issues based on client or engagement need
Gaining audit efficiencies through the use of technology, particularly paperless audit and trial balance software
Tax Return Compliance
Prepare tax returns for the following:
Exempt Organizations
Employee Benefit Plans
Trusts
Experience and Skills
Undergraduate degree with major in accounting
150 credits required
Desire to complete CPA exam
Overall and accounting grade point average of at least 3.00
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong analytical and communication skills
Superior dedication, integrity and professional bearing
Enthusiasm for rapid professional growth
Dependability and strong work ethic
