POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join BillGO as an Associate Technical Writer. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in creating accurate, clear, and concise technical documentation that communicates complex concepts and procedures to our clients and internal stakeholders. Develops and updates technical documentation, such as user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and release notes, following established guidelines and templates.
Collaborates with various teams, including developers, product managers, and subject matter experts, to gather information and understand technical concepts.
Simplifies complex technical information into clear and concise content that is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ensures consistency and accuracy in documentation by adhering to company style guides and standards.
Conducts research and gathers information from reliable sources to enhance and supplement existing documentation.
Participates in the review and editing process to ensure the quality and clarity of the documentation.
Works closely with the product development team to understand new features and updates, and effectively communicate these changes to users.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions to enhance the documentation workflow.
Stays updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to fintech and financial services.
Collaborates with the customer support team to address user inquiries and provide documentation-based solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
1-2 years previous experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the fintech industry or related technology field.
Strong understanding of fintech products, APIs, financial terminology, and industry standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in documenting software applications, including user guides, API documentation, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with documentation tools and technologies, such as Markdown, Git, JIRA, Confluence, or other content management systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong editing skills to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to documentation standards.
Strong organizational and analytical skills to gather information from various sources and transform it into cohesive documentation.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to the fintech industry is a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but is expected to mentor new team members and junior level positions.
