Company Overview:
Vaporox is a Denver-based medical device company. Our technology, Vaporous Hyperoxia Therapy (VHT™), represents a breakthrough in treating a massive problem: Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFUs). DFUs diminish the quality of life. Most DFUs do not heal and become chronic, leading to amputations and sometimes death. They generate billions of dollars of healthcare costs.
In multiple clinical studies, VHT has been shown to heal more than 82% of these chronic wounds. Vaporox’s “pay per use” sales model is proven, and VHT is an “easy sell,” because it competes with standard wound care, not other advanced treatments.
Because there are no adoption risks for the customer and because VHT delivers market-leading healing results, demand is high for our second-generation “VHT-200” device, which was FDA-cleared in March.
Vaporox has raised a total of $12.5M in capital, including a $1M lead investment from Bioventus (NASDAQ: BVS) in our most recent (“Series A”) funding round.
The company has a strong intellectual property position, including 14 patents (10 issued and 4 pending).
Our executives have medical and startup experience, and our advisors are deeply experienced in manufacturing and reimbursement. Our Medical Director is the former President of the Colorado Foot & Ankle Society and is on the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery Board of Directors.
Job Description:
The Sales Representative will play a critical role, interacting directly with healthcare providers and their staff to help improve people’s lives. They will also educate clinics on the proper use of our products. The Sales Representative is fully responsible for managing their own territory, a role that’s well suited to highly motivated self-starters with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Ideal candidates will be autonomous, have strong interpersonal skills, and are determined to provide the best possible experience to our customers and their coworkers. They strive for excellent performance, driven by their willingness to teach and learn. They are good team players, dynamic, optimistic, accurate, well-organized, and eager to develop themselves as sales professionals.
Working in the office is critical to the company's success as a start-up. While we offer flexible work schedules and we allow some “work from home,” our team works in the office four days per week.
Compensation Benefits:
Base Salary: $80,000
Bonus: $70,000 at plan, but uncapped

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a territory business plan that results in achievement of assigned sales quota for assigned products
- Develop and maintain product knowledge, business acumen, and proven sales processes for assigned products
- Educate healthcare providers and staffs in clinic settings regarding the proper use of our technology
- Embrace corporate values with regards to process and administrative responsibilities
- Demonstrate high standards of ethics and compliance by adhering to company policies and procedures
Requirements and Preferences
- 4-year college degree, preferably in life science or a commercial discipline
- 2+ years of proven B2B sales experience, preferably in the biotech, life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical devices, or related industries
- Preference will be given to candidates with a wound care B2B background
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong sales drive, adaptability, and success orientation
- Emotional intelligence and active listening skills are essential in this role
- Proficient computer skills (HubSpot, Heymarket, Dialpad, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong work ethic
- A self-starter with a professional and friendly attitude
