Job Description
Maintenance Worker (Wailuku) Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Centers, Inc. Founded in 1986, Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Centers, Inc. (KHAKO) is a non-profit organization providing emergency homeless shelter, rental assistance, and supportive services to unsheltered individuals and families on the Island of Maui. We serve the community in three convenient locations – Wailuku, Lahaina, and Kihei. Additionally, KHAKO manages a 200 unit (Wailuku) and 30 unit (Lahaina) affordable rental housing facility that provides permanent housing to more than 700 Maui residents.
KHAKO is looking for a full-time maintenance worker who will provide maintenance and landscaping for the physical premises to ensure a properly functioning, clean and orderly environment for KHAKO participants, staff and community at KHAKO locations. Must be able to lift 80 pounds, have basic knowledge of painting, electric, and plumbing repair, and possess verbal and written communication skills. Qualification(s): High School Diploma or equivalent; Plumbing, painting, drywall, landscaping and/or miscellaneous repair experience; Valid Driver’s License.
