We Are Looking to Add a Key Member to Our Accounting Team!
The Accountant I is primarily responsible for ensuring that generally accepted accounting principles are followed in the preparation and presentation of financial reports.
As an Accountant, you will:
Develop Your Accounting Skills as you:
Learn and understand the business (key operational drivers, accounting issues, and related market forces)
Understand the accounting impact of all relevant transactions and documents to ensure compliance with GAAP.
Financial Statement preparation and analysis.
General ledger account reconciliation.
Participate in month and year end closing.
Assist with annual financial statement audit.
Prepare and audit recurring operational reports.
Prepare monthly reporting for various external customer programs.
Provide an outstanding GreatAmerica experience to all customers.
Have Leadership and Team Support!
Work in a team-based solution-oriented environment with Finance and Accounting professionals.
You will have dedicated Leadership there to provide support in your role and the execution on our mission to help our customers achieve greater success.
To be successful in this role you will need
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, MBA, or other related advanced degrees and certifications a plus.
An experience level of a new college graduate to 1-3 years of accounting, treasury, and/or finance experience
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrate sound business judgment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and possess outstanding computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
A strong sense of urgency. This role will likely include periodic large project-oriented demands with tight deadlines requiring more than standard work hours and the need to respond quickly.
