Job Description of the Staff Accountant:
- Managing all accounting transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Preparing comprehensive budget forecasts to guide financial decision-making.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate publication of financial statements, adhering to reporting deadlines.
- Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings meticulously, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prioritizing and ensuring timely bank payments, minimizing delays, and avoiding penalties.
- Computing taxes accurately and preparing tax returns in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements to provide an accurate snapshot of the company's financial position.
- Reporting on the company's financial health and liquidity, providing insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Conducting audits of financial transactions and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Reinforcing financial data confidentiality to maintain the security and integrity of sensitive information.
- Conducting regular database backups to safeguard financial data and prevent data loss.
- Complying with all applicable financial policies and regulations, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred.
- Financial Statement review/prep experience (Required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,500.00 per year
