The SRM Pricing & Promotions Manager supports the Strategic Demand team and the US and Canadian Sales teams in driving Strategic Revenue Management (SRM) initiatives towards profitable growth for Mars Food North America and for our customers. This associate leads the creation of market portfolio pricing and promotion strategy, development of annual pricing and promotion plans, and overall management of market pricing and promotion practices.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor degree in business, finance, economics, math or sciences.
Graduate degree preferred.
3-5+ years of experience in a blue chip FMCG/consumer products company and an analytical and commercial background.
Experience with revenue management, P&L management, or financial accounts.
Experience working with retail POS data – Nielsen, IRI, etc.
Direct experience evaluating and optimizing retail promotions for volume lift and financial ROI.
Understanding of pricing strategy and the end-to-end steps required to deploy cost price changes within a market.
Strong track record of translating strategies into action and delivering results.
Strong leadership and influencing capability.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Support the Mars Culture by leading and living the Five Principles and communicating our expected business environment to all associates
Demonstrate leadership in living the purpose of Mars Global Food segment and Mars, Inc
Create, implement, and track pricing & promotion strategic plans. This includes developing and continuously improving our Pricing & Promo Playbooks and partnering with:
Marketing, CMI and Sales for optimized brand pack-price architecture across key price tiers, thresholds, and partitions to ensure pricing attractiveness and competitiveness.
Key Account teams to unlock price point and promo optimization opportunities by channel for profitable category growth. Analyzes trade promotions and develops promo strategies to maximize Promo ROI.
Customer Marketing to update price lists, promo guidelines, and MAP pricing policies.
Finance & Commercial to deliver target MAC shape.
Marketing and R&D to capture Innovation price-value opportunities and enhance alignment to brand strategy and overall pack-price architecture goals.
Finance and S&OP+ team to ensure price & promo recommendations and action inputs are included in Annual Operating Plan and period S&OP+ updates.
Co-chair Pricing Council, including integration of fact-based recommendations with S&OP+ Step decision owners. Ensuring agreed actions are followed through.
Lead the execution, planning and management of agreed Pricing actions. Coordinate the deployment of any list price increases, providing project management support to ensure agreed actions are executed on time and on budget.
Lead the development and continuous improvement of Pricing & Promotion advanced analytics tools and reporting, including optimization and scenario planning tools.
Support the Strategic Demand and Sales teams in the Annual Planning process.
