Job Description
This company needs a couple people join their configuration center to help with their clients' IT needs whether that is unboxing equipment, imaging laptops/pcs, packaging equipment to be shipped to the client, troubleshooting hardware, or more. This is on site M-F, 8:30 am-5 pm, and will involve a good amount of standing, carrying, and hands-on IT work. This role is responsible to support this IT services company in making sure they are meeting the service levels for their clients. Their clients order hardware through them (laptop, tablets, smart phones, etc) which are shipped to this location. This team will unbox, set up, configure, etc. and then get ready to ship them to their clients. Due to the nature as an IT services company, every day is different and they can go through waves of busy and slow down based off of customer needs. This role is for someone eager to grow their IT resume and is open to show up and be able to do the work that may change slightly day to day.
There could be some potential local travel to a client site to drop off or pick up hardware. If this person is asked to travel to a client site, they will be reimbursed mileage.
Configuration Technician
Job Description
The Configuration Technician is responsible for performing the pre-configuration of equipment prior to shipment to customers. The pre-configuration is to be performed in a quality and consistent manner in accordance with documented instructions. Equipment pre-configuration shall also be validated to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment prior to shipment.
Responsibilities:
- Follow specific written work instructions to efficiently provision and configure IT devices and otherwise prepare for device deployment based on customer requirements.
- Basic kitting of equipment based on customer requirements.
- Unbox, re-box and process equipment for shipping.
- Clean, test, and inspect IT devices.
- Escalate technical or other issues to your immediate supervisor.
- Participate in internal departmental and project meetings.
- Offer suggestions on improving processes and efficiencies.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
This is a hands-on entry-level position that will provide MCPc a dedicated individual to support team workload. While existing technical certifications are preferred, they are not required. The individual will be expected to pursue the appropriate certifications as detailed by immediate supervisor within the first year of employment.
Experience and Educational Requirement:
- A High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 1 year of experience (preferred) or relevant training that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Valid Driver's License (less than 6 points on license to adhere to insurance requirements).
Physical Requirements:
The Configuration Center Technician Associate position involves lifting (up to 60 lbs.), carrying, standing, bending, transporting IT equipment 50% of the time. The position also involves the occasional use of basic tools (screwdriver), cleaning solutions, tear down and rebuild of IT components. Finally, the ability to type, work from a computer monitor, communication (written and verbal) and read basic work instructions are a requirements.
