About Us:
The Arc of Essex County is a non-profit organization that provides services and programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Our corporate office is located in Livingston, NJ and we have programs throughout Essex County.
Job Summary:
The Time System Coordinator is responsible for managing employee time system related responsibilities as well as performing other payroll functions and projects as directed.
This is an entry level position that reports to the Assistant Director of Payroll Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and process employee time records while ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Review information for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorizations
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure time system protocols are followed and deadlines met
- Track and enter specialty time inputs for specific areas such as the Stepping Stones School, Manager and Shift Supervisor sub hours, and Shapiro vouchers, after obtaining appropriate approvals
- Process transfers, schedule changes, terminations and new hires and update all time system rules and settings
- Finalize time system records and conducts extensive reviews using audit reports prior to payroll submission
- Maintain a comprehensive digital filing system for all time and payroll records
- Partner with Assistant Director Payroll to cross-train for full payroll preparation and submission

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Education / Work Experience / Skills:
- High school graduate, some college experience preferred
- At least two years of Time System or Payroll processing experience required
- Previous experience using Payroll system required
- Good working knowledge of Excel required
