POSITION TITLE: Thinning Analysis Tech
DEPARTMENT: Press Tool & Die
Pay Hourly: DOE
REPORTS TO: Thinning Analysis Supervisor
POSITION PURPOSE: Technical Thinning Analyst
A thinning analysis tech's job is to keep an eye on, forecast, and manage the stability and safety of our draw dies in the die shop. To ensure that only high-quality parts are stamped and distributed to customers. A variety of data checks, reports, audits, and analyses are used to carry out these checks and balances.
Authority and responsibility belong to Thinning Analysis Tech.
The ongoing Thinning Analysis capacity for safe metal formability is the responsibility of this post. ensuring that every draw die in the die shop is reliable and safe for production. To warn Die Shop, Press, and Assembly of any inconsistencies in Draw Dies so that they can be watched until inconsistencies in Draw Die are resolved and to safeguard the business & the customer from an unsatisfactory product.
THE POSITIONS' ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Thinning Analysis Tech
1) Comply with and enforce all plant safety regulations.
3) Assesses the formability of a material using a variety of test and measurement methodologies, such as thinning analysis, circle grid analysis, stretch analysis, and radius/over draw analysis.
4) Assist Tool and Die and Press Shop staff in technical and problem-solving support for formability-related concerns.
5) Keeps a database of formability test and problem-solving outcomes for use as a training and reference tool.
6) Take the initiative in training staff in Formability Analysis and associated methods.
7) Helps develop checklists and other methods for evaluating dies.
8) Encourages proper hygiene (5S)
9) Carry out any other tasks that are necessary.

-Be prepared to put in additional or flexible hours as needed.

Education: GED or High School Diploma is necessary.
Technical training includes knowledge of the manufacture and processing of sheet metal as well as a strong foundation in applied mathematics, including algebra and geometry.

EXPERIENCE AT WORK
