Job Description
About The Role
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of new server platforms from concept to launch. Your team will design, define and implement complex system requirements, determine system specifications, I/O processes, and working parameters.
What You Will Do
Determine system specifications, I/O processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Coordinate the design of subsystems and the integration of the total system.
Develop overall server and system product configuration.
Work as part of a cross-functional team to take a product from concept through prototype and into production.
Optimize system performance and resolve performance problems.
Ensure the manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability of designs.
Responsibilities include system BOM creation, debugging, and testing of server board/add-on card products.
Collaborate with engineering and other teams to discover and resolve any engineering issues in the early stage to ensure the quality and performance of the products reach their full capacity.
Prepare technical documentation including product specifications, test procedures, etc.
Ensure products conform to engineering specifications, regulatory, and customer expectations.
Transfer products to manufacturing with clear documentation and provide technical support to solve product problems.
Provide clear documentation and strong technical support to contract manufacturers and the production department during the product sample and production stages.
Working with Windows and/or Linux OS and basic scripting skills
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science or equivalent work experience required
Master's degree preferred.
0 to 2 years relevant work experience in computer science or electrical engineering.
Basic understanding of x-86 system architecture.
Good understanding of hardware and system software interactions, and ability to apply this knowledge to resolve technical issues.
Proactively oriented to seize opportunities and identify potential problems
Ability to use time, energy, and resources in an effective manner to achieve set goals.
Ability to identify the elements of a situation/ability to visualize, articulate, and solve problems.
Collaborative, flexible, and adaptable.
