Lockheed Martin Space in Courland is seeking a full-time Early Career Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical fundamentals and hardware/software systems. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

This position will support the production of Hypersonic missiles and other defense programs that are critical to our nation.
As a Quality Engineer, you will support the production and test team by reviewing technical drawings/procedures, dispositioning non-conformances, and supporting the test of missiles and missile components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing drawings and work instructions
- Ensuring product compliance through accurate flow down of Program/Customer requirements
- Ensuring non-conformances are accurately controlled, documented, and dispositioned
- Trending Quality metrics and performing/leading root cause analysis and corrective action
- Helping resolve technical issues and communicating them back to the program and or Customer
- Helping drive process improvements and cost savings utilizing a continuous improvement mentality
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g.electrical, mechanical, chemical, or Aerospace engineering) or equivalent discipline (e.g. Industrial Eng, computer engineering, systems, etc.).
- This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a US clearance
- Effective communication skills
- Able to work independently and as a team player
- CQE (certified quality engineer)
- Lean experience (Green Belt/Black Belt Certification)
- Program start up/development experience
- Experience working within a AS9100 certified quality system
- Experience running/managing projects that require cross-functional support
- Current or past internships within a manufacturing and/or quality role

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
