Job Description
Accounts Receivable Specialist ~ Real Estate firm ~ Washington, D.C.
$65k-$75k, career growth, great benefits, growing company!
My client is a well-established Real Estate firm located in downtown Washington, D.C. with a need for an Accounts Receivable. This is a newly created opportunity due to the growth of the organization and they are seeking a dynamic Accounts Receivable Specialist to support daily cash deposits, post payments, research and resolved payments. The AR Specialist will report to the Controller, CPA and offers tremendous career growth. Recent grads with a BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business are highly encouraged to apply. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for the following duties:
- Enter and process all agency and bulk rental payments and misc. income for the residential properties and ensures all funds are deposited to the bank promptly.
- If necessary, take deposits to bank ensuring checks are deposited within 48 hours of receipt.
- Post payments (wires and checks) from agencies.
- Maintain copies of rents, batch & deposit slips for reference.
- Assist with monthly delinquency meetings and complete any needed account corrections and support site teams with account adjustments and rent composition changes.
- Monitor and manage Resident/Tenant account ledgers.
Requirements:
BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
1 year of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge
Experience working in commercial real estate or property management
Yardi is a plus
MS Office
Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
Stable job history
Candidates must be local to the Washington, D.C. area
