Job Description
Duties
Serves as a sales and account management executive. Prospects for new clients through a variety of sources and sales leads utilizing the Internet, trade publications, competitive sources and trade shows.
Develops proposals and evaluation criteria, and negotiates sponsorship and advertising agreements. Coordinates closely with local level counterparts and officials of other agencies or components to execute agreements.
Obtains legal counseling as necessary. Acts as account manager for clients to ensure that benefits are executed and terms of agreement are met.
Provides expert advice and assistance that includes training. Makes presentations, writes, and performs public relations duties
Attends related board, committee, and special event planning meetings

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
You may be expected to travel 10% for this position for the following reasons: Local travel to solicit businesses in the area for sponsorship and advertising partnerships.
You may qualify for relocation incentive and/or recruitment incentive for this position in accordance with agency policy.
IAW AR 215-3, Section VIII, Special Compensation Authorities, a one-time lump sum recruitment or relocation bonus of up to 20% of the annual basic pay will be offered to the individual selected for this position.
The recruitment or relocation bonus will be offered as long as the criteria outlined in Chapter 3-42, 3-43 and 3-44 are met.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Work experience that demonstrates proven ability and experience in sales, negotiations, account management, and client care.
2. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing,
3. Have a working knowledge of the Military and MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) Community.
Highly Preferred Qualifications Criteria:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business or Communications Management.
2. Must have six (6) months demonstrated experience assisting with planning, event development and or the execution of events.
3. Must have six (6) month demonstrated work experience selling and working directly with commercial sponsorship and advertising.
4. Must possess demonstrated experience creating proposals, writing contracts and negotiating agreements with sponsor representatives.
5. Must possess a working knowledge of advertising platforms conducive to generating sponsorship and advertising revenue.
