Access Alaska Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Billing Manager. An ideal candidate will be professional, having great communication, organization, and Microsoft Office skills. Being very detailed when submitting data, forms or entering data into accounting systems. Experienced in Medicaid Billing, Pay Insurance Billing and VA Billing. Skill in the use of Excel spreadsheets for the purpose of tracking data, Comfortable dropping off paperwork, deposits. Must have reliable transportation, valid AK Driver’s License, and vehicle Insurance.
Objective : Focus on Medicaid, and Private Pay and VA related processes. Uses computer-based billing and accounting functions extensively to track, report and project program income and losses. Provides program oversight for compliance and manages staff.
Minimum Requirements: 2 years of college or equivalent combination of education and experience in Medicaid Billing. Requires a high degree of accuracy and experience using automated billing and accounting systems. HIPAA policy awareness: certification preferred. Knowledge of State of Alaska Medicaid process, rules, and regulations. Knowledge of HMS the 3rd party biller for the State of Alaska submission and tracking process, rules, and regulations. Helpful if candidates have experience with Denali Cougar Mountain software system and Therap date base use to track Electronic Visit Verification for payroll.
Essential Duties:
Management
Works Cooperatively with other managers and administrators to ensure timely billing and reporting. All aspects of the Medicaid Private Pay, and Veterans Administration Billing,
Affordable Care Act annual reporting.
Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA) Medical plan payments to Ameriflex third Party Administrator for monthly premium, and account payment tracking.
Yearly preparation of electronic W2s.
Creation and submission of electronic paystubs to Staff and Direct Care Providers.
Monitors Conduent 3rd party Administrator for Medicaid
Administrator for Data Bases Used by the Accounting Department
Medical Billing
Responsible for all accurate and timely Medicaid, Private Pay, Veterans Administration, and all other medical billings for Access Alaska Inc...
Medicaid Application Tracking and Quality Assurance
Prepares procedures, training, and forms to assure loss prevention within the Consumer Directed Personal Care Services (CDPCS) and Accounting Departments.
Home Health Administrator
Position is administrator for Home Health Services Manager database. Sets user rights, bills, remits, and maintains the integrity of all data held within the database.
MMIS Website Administrator
Sets user rights for all offices relating to all issues including but not limited to eligibility, remittance advice retrieval, payments, adjustments, service authorizations and the like. 2
Codes, sorts, enters, and transmits data; posts and files claims using computer billing applications; submits, tracks, and processes paper claims; posts and reconciles charges to accounts receivable; corrects and re-bills returned or denied claims.
Tracks, reports, and strategizes all income and loss issues within the CDPCS department for continued program growth.
Works in collaboration with the CDPCS-IL Programs Director, all Regional Managers and Associates to assure billing and Medicaid compliance.
Service Authorization
Researches and obtains Service Authorizations (SA) for each Program type.
Monitors
Accounts Receivable aging and payment reports monthly to identify trends and
underpayments: investigates cause and takes appropriate steps towards resolution using professional judgement.
Provides Monthly updates of revenue cycle status including reports.
