Summary
Entry level professional accountant position. The hired person is responsible for the routine administration and reconciliation of the financial systems and reporting tools managed within the Chief Accounting Officer’s Division as well as assisting senior staff members with routine processes, reporting and data gathering tasks.
Key Responsibilities Include
Maintain G/L chart of accounts and standard reports
Reconcile financial system inputs to A/P, G/L and F/A
Provide back-up role for G/L consolidations
Assist in the AP process documentation, problem-solving for Coupa and Computron, and act as a liaison between AP and Procurement Ops
Compile monthly cost allocation data
Interact with other departments as a ready source of information concerning supported products and reports
Assist in processing monthly systems/reports
Conduct all activities in a professional manner that reflects First Horizon’s culture and ethics
Qualifications Include
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Management Information Systems preferred
9+ hours of systems type classes preferred (MIS, computer science, visual basic, etc.)
Proficient in commonly used Microsoft Office applications
1-2 years experience in accounting systems administration preferable
Ability to maintain positive attitude in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Other Job Requirements
Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner, both orally and written
Logical thinker with problem solving skills and an aptitude for systems/technology
Basic understanding of general ledger and accounts payable system functions
Must be able to handle conflict and work with all resource levels within the company
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Must be able to learn in a fast-paced, team oriented, deadline driven environment
