Job Summary
This position provides customer service support to external customers by answering calls, responding to inquiries via phone, e-mail and fax and routing communications to appropriate staff, when necessary. This position will listen to customer questions and inquiries and follow documented guidelines and/or processes for resolution. The incumbent must be comfortable answering inbound phone calls for multiple hours per day.
This position is eligible for telework for applicants residing in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Communication skills sufficient to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and/or complaints and explain procedures in a clear, concise and professional manner to both internal and external customers.
Word processing skills sufficient to prepare, edit and finalize emails, faxes and/or other types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format and free of spelling errors.
Customer service skills sufficient to answer questions politely via phone and email and efficiently transfer calls and take accurate messages.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with various computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
Familiarity with Health Regulation services and types of facilities.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and organizations.
Ability to work independently in addition to working cooperatively and effectively as part of a team.
