Overview:

SUMMARY
The IT Apprentice will, under the supervision of the designated supervisor, gain on-the-job training to provide support to staff on all company supported computer systems. Troubleshoot computer problems and determine source and recommend appropriate action. Position may become a permanent placement for successful candidate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answer staff questions in person and via phone on all company supported applications.
Troubleshoot computer problems.
Determine source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.).
Open, update and close trouble tickets.
Advise staff on appropriate action.
Document resolutions for future reference
Develop and maintain appropriate Held Desk procedures and policy documentation.
Perform hardware and software installations and prepare computers for deployment.
Create/delete user accounts as directed.
Serve as liaison between staff and the technology department to resolve issues.
Provide recommendations on company application purchases.
Provide computer orientation to new company staff.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Knowledge of basic office functions helpful.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires working in a commercial office building and some remote events. There may be times that will require working outdoors. Some regional travel possible.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
Valid Driver’s license and good driving record required. Reliable transportation to/from work is a necessity. As a condition of employment must have acceptable references and background check results.
