Job Description
FreeStar Financial Credit Union is looking for a dynamic and passionate professional to lead our IT Department in an entry level management role. If you love Information Technology and are looking develop your leadership skills, this may be the right job for you!
Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000/Annually
Job Location: Clinton Township
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Rotating Saturdays

Purpose Of This Position:
The purpose of an IT Manager is to oversee the workflow and manage the IT department of the credit union. To work within general policies and procedures, exercises considerable independent judgement to select the proper course of action, and ensure that operations are carried out productively to sustain performance and growth.
What You'll Do In This Role:
Maintenance of credit union software applications.
Responsible for network administration and server maintenance.
Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) oversight and maintenance.
Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), DNS(Domain Name System) and WINS(Windows Internet Name Service) protocols.
Working knowledge of latest Windows Server edition and VMware server applications.
The ability to problem solve/troubleshoot issues with Routers, Switches and VPN's.
The ability to problem solve/troubleshoot telecommunications and phone system maintenance.
Develop and maintain scheduled server and PC backup procedures.
Working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Office 365.
Work with branch staff on basic software and troubleshooting needs.
Ability to act as a project leader for all new information technology implementations.
Develop, oversee, and implement a server, PC patch maintenance, and hardware replacement schedule.
Develop, update, monitor and continuously ensure compliance with computer security, prevention plans, antivirus, firewall protections, etc.
Oversee and educate team members on various forms of network security not limited to phishing and social engineering.
Work in conjunction with third party vendors as required.
Troubleshoot personal computer and application issues as needed.
What You'll Bring To FreeStar Financial:
3-5 years of experience in network and server administration is preferred.
5 years of similar or related experience in the IT industry is preferred.
Bachelor of Information System Technology or equivalent experience is preferred.
Certification(s) in CompTIA, Cisco, VM Ware, and Microsoft are helpful.
