Job Description
This position includes Area Agency on Aging of West Central Arkansas and Senior Center staff training and technical assistance for computer software, copiers, and telephone equipment. Further, this position assists in the development of special technological projects and performs other administrative duties as assigned or required.
The Facilities Support Coordinator receives maintenance requests and ensures problems are resolved quickly. Acts as a liaison between the agency and any outside vendors or contractors needed to resolve specialized problems. The Facilities Support Coordinator promotes an efficient and safe working environment in our offices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
High school diploma plus one year of college or three years of experience in a business environment.
This position is entry level.
Must be bondable.
Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Willingness and ability to work independently.
Must be able to travel, have a good driving record, and have dependable transportation
General knowledge of computers. Including, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software utilized by the agency.
Basic knowledge and experience in building and equipment maintenance, as well as safety compliance.
Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods, bend, stretch, climb and lift to 50 pounds at times.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conducts and implements agency and Senior Center staff training regarding computer software, copiers, and telecommunications equipment as applicable.
· Provides onsite and remote technical support to Agency and Senior Center staff, as needed relative to computer software, copiers, and telecommunications equipment as applicable.
· Coordinates and assists in the development of special projects with the IT Manager and other Agency managers.
· Prepares special reports as requested and recognizes the need to assist other administrative personnel at times of peak workload and assist as needed.
· Receives, manages, and processes both Technology and Facilities Help Desk tickets requests; ensures problems are resolved quickly.
· Acts as a liaison between the agency with vendors, contractors, and suppliers as needed to resolve problems.
· Ensures safety standards are followed throughout our office locations.
· Participates in emergency preparedness training and planning. Creating and updating evacuation plans as necessary.
· Ensures assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use.
· Monitoring of office cleaning vendors for office locations and addressing issues as appropriate.
· Requesting and obtaining bids for equipment, building repairs, and other expenses related
to maintenance of our office locations.
· Assist in locating and acquiring new office locations as needed.
· Because the job is considered a safety-sensitive position, the employee in this position will be
subject to unannounced drug and/or alcohol testing as permitted by law.

· Reports maintenance needs and requests to the Area Agency on Aging Board of Directors and the Foundation Board of Directors as needed.
